Basic Managed Service

Our standard support is referred to as the Basic Managed Service, but it is anything but basic. When compared against our competitors you will find that our basic support is superior in terms of coverage and cost.

Our support provides total peace of mind for a fixed cost. Schools that subscribe to our Basic Managed Service know that their network, PCs and servers are fully supported and any problems will be dealt with by Beebug.

What you get:

Full ownership of problems...

We will accept full ownership of any problems relating to your supported network including network structure, workstations and servers. We will fully manage the problem and co-ordinate with relevant parties as necessary to achieve a rapid conclusion.

Unlimited telephone support...

We provide truly unlimited telephone support on all aspects of the supported network including network structure, workstations and servers. This support includes instant access to experienced engineers familiar with the customer’s site. This is a local number with no queuing and immediate access to the relevant support.

Unlimited remote support...

Where we are unable to resolve a problem over the phone we offer unlimited remote support aimed at providing an instant fix where possible.

Unlimited on site visits for servers...

In addition to unlimited phone and remote support we also offer unlimited on-site engineer visits to deal with hardware and software problems relating to the server. This includes full disaster recovery that includes re-installation of Windows operating system and where possible application programs.

Unlimited on site visits for workstations...

In addition to unlimited phone and remote support we also offer unlimited on-site engineer visits to deal with software problems relating to PCs & laptops. This could include re-installation of the operating system, application programs and where possible/required recovery of user data.

Unlimited on site visits for network structure...

Unlimited on-site engineer site visits to investigate problems relating to the network structure including any switches, fibre links and wireless network. We do keep a small stock of loan active components to provide a short term immediate repair.

Unlimited on site visits for peripherals...

Unlimited on-site engineer call outs to deal with problems relating to peripheral components such as printers, projectors and interactive whiteboards.

Beebug Security Program...

Beebug Security is a network management program based on the Windows operating systems. The principle objective is to lock the workstations to prevent users from accidentally or maliciously changing settings on the computers. This ensures that the workstation is ready to be used after a user has logged off.

A Primary Site licence for this software is priced at £800 per annum, but it is included free as part of the Basic Managed Service.

Free project management and consultancy...

We include free project management and consultancy for all works that are directly for our supported schools. We can also happy to offer this as a chargeable service to third parties to assist with building or other development projects at the school.

Same day response...

Depending on when we are contacted we offer a same day response including weekend working in the event of a disaster.

Remote monitoring...

To aid with the smooth running of our supported networks we provide free remote monitoring of servers. This includes regular health checks and where necessary remedial action. This can result in our engineers attending site to resolve a problem before the customer is aware of it.

Hardware warranty and full support...

In conjunction with our support we offer hardware warranty and full support for all the equipment we supply. If an item we have supplied develops a problem then we will take ownership and liaise with the manufacturer on your behalf. We will jump through the manufacturers’ hoops, carry out the required diagnostics, send the item back and then chase up its return. We would then return the item and reinstall it so it is in the working state before the fault occurred.

Liaison with the manufacturers...

If there is a problem with hardware that we have supplied then we would deal with all communication with the manufacturer. We will not ask you to contact them on our behalf, or carry out any unreasonable diagnostics. We would take ownership of the problem and deal with it until its conclusion.

Ongoing development...

We aim to carry out annual meetings with our customers to discuss their network and any potential changes and developments that either they would like, or would be recommended. We also use this as an opportunity to gain so vital feedback about our services and see where we can make improvements.

Upgrade and save

Add Extended Managed Support to your service, and we will include a regular visit with a designated engineer as often as you want to help with the day to day running of your ICT. It's like having an extra member of staff – without the extra salary!
