Basic Managed Service
Basic Managed Service is our most popular service, although we're thinking of renaming it, because it's anything but basic! What you get is total peace of mind that your network, PCs and server are up and running, and totally secure – all this for as little as £6 per day for the typical primary school.
What you get:
Beebug Security is a network management program. This has many features including the provision of a locked down desktop to prevent pupils from changing settings on their computers. A Primary Site licence for this is priced at £800 per annum but is free as part of the Basic Managed Service.
Unlimited telephone support on all aspects of the entire network including PCs, laptops, server and network structure. This support includes instant access to experienced engineers familiar with the customer’s site. No phone queuing and immediate access to second line support where necessary.
Remote monitoring of the curriculum server and all functions. This includes regular health checks of the server and necessary remedial action.
Liaison with the server manufacturer in the event of a hardware failure and unlimited on-site engineer call outs to deal with any issues relating to the file server. This includes disaster recovery and if necessary a full rebuild of the server and data restore from your backup tapes.
Same day response including weekend working in the case of a disaster. We hold a stock of server components to assist with a speedy repair where appropriate.
Unlimited remote-access to the school’s server, PCs, printers and laptops to provide instant fix where possible.
Unlimited on-site engineer call outs to deal with problems relating to any PC or laptop on the Curriculum network setup by Beebug. This includes anything up to and including re-installation of Windows and all application programs. Virus removal and non-warranty repairs are available at cost.
Unlimited on-site engineer call outs to investigate problems relating to the network structure including any fibre links and wireless network. Loan switches and fibre components are normally available to enable an immediate repair.
Unlimited on-site engineer call outs to deal with problems relating to printers, projectors and interactive whiteboards.
Hardware warranty and full support for the Internet filtering server (where the school has one). This includes updating all filtering lists and making any changes to the list of sites blocked or unblocked for each individual school and for the separate pupil and staff groups within the school.
Acceptance of full ownership of any problems relating to the curriculum network, PCs and server. Management of the problem and co-ordination of other parties as necessary to achieve rapid conclusion.
Free project management and consultancy from experienced senior staff to assist with building or other development projects at the school.
Ongoing development of Curriculum network to allow integration with new technologies such as Fronter and Windows 7.
Non-warranty repairs, virus / spyware removal and changes to the installation are provided at charge.
